A Program of work in Wales
BEN's work in Wales
ranges from practical and specific activity on the ground,
to input at policy and strategy level. Countryside Council
for Wales is a major supporter.
BEN Re-Cycle Bike Project.
According to gumtree.com the British throw away over 1.2 million
bicycles every year. A Swansea project is helping to reduce
this wastage by re-cycling the waste bikes. The Re-Cycle scheme
in Swansea takes in donations of unwanted bikes which are
refurbished, repaired and supplied cheaply to low waged people,
asylum seekers and refugees. For more information click
